Fly Ash technology is an extension of the long-standing pozzolanic chemistry. Pozzolanic reaction creates material proven for its strength and durability. It is a blend of Fly Ash, Lime and Gypsum and/or Cement in suitable proportions. The mix, upon hydration, yields strengths in range of 60 – 300 kg/cm2. Derivative product is virtually water impervious and hard because minerals are formed during hydration phase.
The proportions and mix of different ingredients depend on the chemical constituents and behaviour of fly ash. Proportion of raw material would also depend on properties of final product desired. Technology and process parameters are custom built and correct formulations have to be achieved after many trials.
In order to produce bricks of high and consistent quality to achieve superior strength class, we recommend use of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in place of lime + gypsum.
Carbon Neutral Product
Fly Ash bricks, blocks or tiles produced with this technology do not burn any kind of fossil fuels. In other words, these are non-fired products and use up to 75% recycled materials. No CO2 emission to the atmosphere. These are environmental friendly and totally green bricks. That is why, we call them Smartbrix.
